8 Layer Salad

Serves: 6 - 8

 

Layer 1: 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
Layer 2: 1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
Layer 3: 1 cup celery, chopped
Layer 4: 1 large onion, chopped
Layer 5: 1 package (10 ounce or similar) frozen peas, thawed
Layer 6: 5 to 6 heaping tablespoons mayonnaise
Layer 7: 1/2 cup brown sugar
Layer 8: 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

 

Place all ingredients in layers, in the order listed above,

in a large salad bowl.

Refrigerate several hours before serving.
