Barbecue Sauce “Old Carolina Receipt”

Great brushed on venison, duck or dove prior to cooking…

 

Makes 1 pint

 

1 tablespoon black pepper

1 tablespoon salt

1 small container dry mustard

¼ cup sugar

1 ¼ cups vinegar

¼ cup water

1 stick margarine or butter

 

 

Mix dry ingredients. Add vinegar, water and mix. Bring to a full boil and add stick of margarine or butter and continue to cook until margarine or butter is melted.
