Barbecue Short Ribs [Indoors]

 

Serves 4

 

2 pounds short ribs

1 teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon pepper

1 small onion, chopped

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 cup water

½ cup catsup

 

Brown ribs on all sides. Pour off drippings. Season with salt and pepper. Add chopped onion; brown lightly.

 

Mix remaining ingredients; pour over meat. Cover and cook over low heat until tender about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Add additional water if needed. Turn ribs to coat with sauce.
