Barbecue Whiskey Sirloin Steak

Serves 2

 

2 Sirloin steaks

2 tablespoons Cabela’s Whiskey Steak Seasoning* for each steak

2 tablespoons olive oil

6 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon garlic, minced

Preparation:

Rub olive oil on steaks, cover with seasoning and massage into meat.

Place steaks in a plastic bag in refrigerator. Let rest for at least 8 hours.

Melt butter in small pan just prior to cooking. Stir in garlic.

Remove steaks from refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature 1 hour prior to cooking.

 

Cooking:

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

Place steaks on grill, basting with butter and garlic every few minutes after the first turn.

Turn often to your desired temperature.

Note: 140° F = rare; 145° F = medium rare; 150° F = medium
