Carolina Cajun Spice Blend

 

Yields about 2/3 cup

 

2 tablespoons paprika

2 tablespoons garlic salt

1 tablespoon black pepper

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon red pepper (cayenne)

1 tablespoon dried oregano

1 tablespoon dried thyme

 

Mix all ingredients well. Store in an airtight container.

 

Sprinkle liberally over hamburgers and steak before grilling or broiling.

 

Sprinkle over fish before grilling, frying or baking. [Especially catfish.]

 

Sprinkle over shrimp after boiling or steaming.

 

Put a dash in a Bloody Mary!
