Garlic & Beer Marinated Shrimp

 

Makes 2 Servings

 

2 pounds shrimp, fresh/frozen medium size, in shell

1 ½ cups beer  [Drink the rest!]

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon chives, fresh, chopped

1 teaspoon red pepper sauce

½ teaspoon salt

4 garlic cloves, crushed

Butter melted for dipping

Lemon wedges [optional]

 

Peel shrimp; devein.

Mix remaining ingredients in shallow glass pan. Stir in shrimp. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.

Set oven control to broil. Remove shrimp from marinade. Place shrimp on rack in broiler pan. Broil shrimp about 4” from heat about 5 minutes, turning once and brushing with marinade, until shrimp are pink.

Serve with melted butter or margarine and lemon wedges.
