A wonderful, fiery hot and delicious cabbage dish. Serve as a side dish, along with Korean Short Ribs and some rice for a nearly authentic Korean meal. Prepare 2-3 days in advance.

 

 

1 cup soy sauce

1 ˝ tablespoons ginger, minced

1 ˝ tablespoons garlic, minced

1 cup rice wine vinegar

˝ cup red pepper, crushed [or to taste]

1 cup oil [Canola, Vegetable, or Olive]

1 cup sugar

 

1 head Napa cabbage [or Savoy], coarsely chopped

6 green onions, sliced finely

 

 

Mix first 7 ingredients in a glass bowl.

Prepare cabbage and onion mixture.

 

Pour marinade over cabbage mixture. Refrigerate for 2 – 3 days.

Serve at room temperature.
