Low Fat Tortilla Snacks
Doug Wendling
A fast and easy-to-make ball game snack! They start out low fat and stay that way. Accompany with salsa, cheese dip or eat them plain with an occasional swig of your favorite beverage.
6 – 8 low fat tortillas
¼ cup peanut oil
Various toppings, e.g., combination of chili powder, cumin and cayenne pepper, or garlic salt and white pepper, or taco seasoning… Chipotle pepper sauce or barbecue sauce work well, also.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Brush a shallow baking sheet with a light coat of oil.
Brush tortilla with oil.
Cut a tortilla in half. Turn and cut into strips approximately 1 inch wide.
Sprinkle with your favorite topping/s. Make them as spicy as you like.
Place on shallow baking sheet and bake for roughly 10 minutes. Watch closely to avoid burning them. Remove from oven and sprinkle with salt while hot.
Let cool and serve.
Enjoy!
