Pork Chops and Rice

4 pork chops
4 tablespoons oil
2/3 cup rice
4 tablespoons chopped onion
2 cups water
2 bouillon cubes
1 ½ cup chopped apples
Brown chops in oil and remove from pan. Add rice and onion and cook until onion is golden. Stir in the water and bouillon. Bring to a boil, then add apples.
Put in baking pan and arrange pork chops on top. Bake covered at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
Topping:
1 ½ cup sliced apples
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons brown sugar
4 teaspoons cinnamon
Arrange apple slices over top of pork chops. Combine butter, brown sugar and cinnamon and drizzle over top of sliced apples. Bake uncovered for an additional 20 minutes.
