Strawberry Surprise

1 box vanilla wafers – crushed

½ cup butter

1 cup powder sugar

2 egg yolks beaten

2 egg whites beaten

½ cup chopped walnuts

4 cups cut strawberries

12oz tub Cool Whip

 

 

Hold out ½ cup wafer crumbs for topping. Place the rest of the crumbs in 9X12-inch pan.

 

Cream butter & sugar, add beaten egg yolks and mix well. Fold in beaten egg whites and chopped nuts.

 

Spread mixture over crumbs. Cover with strawberries. Spread Cool Whip over strawberries. Sprinkle the

½ cup wafer crumbs on top.

 

Refrigerate for 24 hours and serve cold.
