Wild Turkey

Herb Dressing Mix

Lemon Juice

Salt and pepper

Poultry tenderizer

Onion

Celery

Eggs

Butter

Fresh Oysters

Chestnuts

Bacon Strips

Butter, melted

 

 

Wash turkey and wipe dry. Generously salt, pepper, sprinkle with lemon juice and tenderizer.

Embellish dressing mix with extra onions, celery, eggs, butter, oysters and chestnuts, as desired. Dressing should be moist. Stuff turkey.

Pour melted butter over turkey. Criss-cross with bacon strips, cover and cook in 325 degree F oven approximately 2 hours, depending upon size. [Roughly 25 minutes per pound.]

Uncover last 20-30 minutes to brown. Drippings make excellent gravy…
